Very general questions about SFS

What is the current status of this technology? Should it still be
considered "alpha software" as stated on the distribution page of the
web site?

I noted that the current version is 0.7 which appears to have been
published in April 2003 but a comment on the distribution page to a 1.0
version. What is the current status of development? What is the target
date for releasing v1.0?

Can't answer the rest, but I've been using it, and I know
of several places where it's been in production use for
close to half a decade now.
